H103 - Twirling Tiny Toe Dancer

[back to quicklinks]
$ 140

She twirls like the toe-dancer in your dreams...this petite ballerina who performs at your command.  Welcome to jewelry with movement.  Simply magical.
During this workshop we will each create an interactive pendant of a spinning ballerina encased in glass and twirling at your command.  Her glass capsule is topped with an engraved scalloped roof inspired by the zinc bird cage roofs found in France and dangles from a chain we make ourselves.  When not worn, this whimsical necklace finds a home in an old book carved like a theater - the stage she rests within.
Students will learn how to drill a hole in glass, create a moving element, make soldered shapes, solder the pendant, make chain links and a carved book trick.  At the end of the day we will have our own Tiny Dancer Necklace which we can show off, and a special theater she can rest her tootsies in!
  * A $20 Materials fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class

Ballerina, Glass and components for Pendant included.  Please bring what is on supply list.
