Learn the fundamentals of working with watercolor. We will experiment with the mixing and application of color as well as working with resists and surface techniques that will widen your range with this versatile medium. Learn to set up a field palette, the how and why of brushes and try several types of watercolor paper and more. Take home a notebook that will record the methods you learn to refer to in the future, as well as small pieces completed in class.  A kit fee of $10 will be payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.

Supplies:

Photographs to paint from
#4 and #8 and 1” watercolor brushes (student quality is fine)
Covered palette (if you want to take home the watercolor paint that is provided in class and have a head start on painting in the future)
