Have you ever looked at a cuddly teddy bear and thought, "I sure would enjoy ripping off that thing's cute face"? Well, now's your chance to indulge that twisted impulse! In this unique art class, you'll take two of those sad, discarded little plushies from the thrift store and transform them into spooky, skeleton-faced creatures that will forever haunt the children who so callously left them in the discard bin. Swap out that cute, fuzzy face for a creepy skull, add some other various dark details, and watch once cuddly toys become much more sinister playthings!
Not only is this a fun and creative way to explore your morbid side, but it's also a relatively eco-friendly activity. By upcycling old toys, you're keeping waste out of landfills and giving new life to materials that would very likely be discarded. It's a win-win for your inner artist and the planet.
So, whether you're a goth, a horror fan, someone who appreciates the irony of juxtaposition, or just generally a 'Halloweenie" type weirdo, Deady Bears is the class for you. Unleash your creepy creativity, indulge your delightful dark side, and walk away with disturbing creations that you can proudly display in your haunted house. Get ready to breathe new life (or death) into the discarded and embrace the macabre!
In this workshop, students will upcycle 2 thrift store plushies into creepy, skeleton-faced creatures, explore the dark side of their creativity in a fun, easy art class, keep a little waste out of the landfills by giving old toys a new (albeit somewhat sinister) purpose, and walk away with a pair of hauntingly adorable monstrosities to love and fear.
