You’ve probably heard the term “mark making” and maybe you’ve even made some marks. Or wondered what it meant.

Mark making describes the way we can produce different lines, dots, marks, patterns and textures on any surface. Mark making can be creative and experimental, as it can be done with lots of different materials and tools.

In this workshop we will be working with a variety of mixed media to create patterns and textures on paper. Materials and supplies such as pencil, pens, brush, paints, gesso, and more will be used.

Some found objects such as twigs, feathers, and shells can also produce wonderful results.
