Come, step into the bold and expressive world of Baroque painting in this hands-on oil painting workshop that blends technique with art history. Designed for artists of all levels, this one-day class will immerse you in the dramatic use of light and shadow, dynamic composition, and expressive gesture that defined the Baroque era.
You’ll be guided through a series of exercises using oil paints to build a strong foundation for creating work that reflects not only the aesthetics of the era but also your own personal voice. We’ll focus on value, light, and proportion while exploring how these elements can create drama and mirror the qualities found in the emotional narratives of masters like Caravaggio and Rubens.
Throughout the day, I’ll offer step-by-step guidance and demonstrations to help you develop both your technical skills and a deeper appreciation for the rich, evocative beauty of Baroque art.
