Let’s spend a day together immersed in the elegance, beauty, and flowing rhythm of Art Nouveau. In this one-day gouache painting workshop, we’ll explore this iconic movement through the lens of design, color, and personal expression—drawing inspiration from artists like Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt, and Aubrey Beardsley.

I’ll guide you step by step as we work with gouache paints—an ideal medium for capturing the soft, velvety richness and flat decorative qualities of the era. We’ll begin with drawing exercises that focus on the stylized, ornamental design that defines Art Nouveau, and from there, build our own compositions using natural forms like flowers, vines, and the figure.

This class is open to all experience levels. If you are looking to deepen your design sensibilities, reconnect with the joy of drawing and painting, or simply spend a day surrounded by the romantic, flowing energy of this artistic era, this class is for you. You’ll leave with a finished piece (or two!), some new techniques, and a fresh appreciation for this beautifully expressive style.

Materials Fee $10 paid at beginning of class includes:
