A Two-Day Workshop in Watercolor & Gouache
In this two-day workshop, we’ll step into our own inner worlds, where dreams, memory, and imagination live, and take what we find to create colorful, symbolic works of art. Dream in Color is an invitation to explore your night mind: the place of dreams, the mysterious and layered world just beneath waking thought, where imagery awaits.
Using watercolor and the velvety opacity of gouache, we’ll experiment with techniques that allow for both control and surrender. We’ll focus on color, line, design, and symbology as we build compositions that evoke mood, story, and emotional resonance.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll be guided through a series of prompts, visual meditations, and demonstrations. We’ll take time to draw, paint, and reflect, connecting with our own personal symbols, archetypal imagery, and intuitive mark-making. There will be space for both guided exploration and self-directed studio time, allowing each participant to follow their own thread of inspiration.
This workshop is open to all levels, whether you’re a seasoned painter or just beginning to explore creative expression. By the end of our time together, you’ll have several finished pieces, a deeper connection to your creative intuition, and a growing visual vocabulary to help express what lives within your inner world.
