Plaster & Soldered Shrine

This is a project that will get your hands wet and plastery. We will create our shrines using cardboard and coating them with plaster tape and plaster of Paris. To speed up the drying process we will use our blow dryers/heat guns. Once the shrines are dry we can solder the opening and attach our toppers of choice. 

Materials Fee $50  cash paid at beginning of class includes:

Plaster of Paris,
plaster tape,
copper tape,
cardboard,
masking tape,
shrine topper,
glass glitter,
patina,
Mary statue.

Supplies Needed  to bring for Class:

Cookie sheet for you solder station
Silicone baking sheet for inside of your cookie sheet (this helps from items sliding in your cookie sheet) You can find these at the dollar store or Amazon

Jewelry pliers set (will need flat nose pliers, round nose pliers, flush cuttters)
Paint brush
Scissors
Blow dryer or heat gun
Plastic bowl for water for dipping your plaster tape and for mixing plaster of Paris.
Rag or towel
Apron
