Loops & Layers: An Entry-Level Punch Needle Guide

Kristin Peterson
6:30 - 9:30
Wednesday Eve - March 17
$110.00

We will focus on the small but mighty coaster. These miniature canvases are the perfect way to master the fundamentals without the pressure of a large-scale project. We will spend the first part of class demystifying the "kit"—navigating the specific relationships between needle sizes, yarn weights, and the different types of foundation fabrics (like Monk’s Cloth vs. Linen). You’ll learn why tension is your best friend and how to troubleshoot the common "oops" moments that every beginner faces.

By the end of the class, you won't just have a handmade, tactile coaster; you’ll have an understanding of the supplies and the confidence to start your own punching practice at home.

No prior textile experience is required—just bring your curiosity and a love for things that feel as good as they look!

Materials Fee $25 paid at beginning of class includes the following to share:

Yarn (to ensure appropriate weight)
Monk’s cloth
Needle/ thread
