In this class, students will be taking a queue from Mother Nature and their own fabric choices. Students will be able to work on a 16” x 16 “ or smaller piece.
A sewing machine with a free motion foot and either a topstitching or a ¼” foot is a must.
We have 5 machines available to borrow if you can’t bring your own. Please contact Liz Kettle email@example.com to reserve your machine.
Materials fee $20 paid directly to instructor at beginning of class includes:
Printed instructions, paint, freezer paper, use of intense pencils and blocks, paint plates, water containers, tissues, basting spray, and marking pencils.
Supplies You Need to Bring to Class in addition to materials provided by instructor:
5-8 fat quarters (18” x 22”) – hand dyed, tone on tone, batiks, and small to medium abstract prints all make good choices. If you wish to do a landscape, think sky, background, middle ground and foreground. One of the fat quarters will be used as binding fabric.
18”x 18” – piece of batting
For your convenience, you may pre-order your materials for classes! Your materials will be waiting for you at the retreat. And you can always purchase additional materials at the retreat.
