In this hands on workshop you will learn techniques to add color, shape and form to your jewelry work as you manipulate copper sheet metal and wire in combination with vibrant and versatile glass enamel.
Begin the workshop by building dimensional, raw and extraordinary shapes by dapping, fold forming and forging 24 gauge copper sheet metal.

Learn to layer and express yourself by using techniques in glass enamel to build colorful and intricate surfaces using opaque and transparent clear enamel. Learn additional surface techniques such as sgraffito, a scratching away technique that exposes another color fired underneath. Make marks, text and symbolism using carbon pencils and wet pack enamel. Learn crackling to expose another color underneath.
Liquid enamels can also be applied with rubber stamps, stencils, paintbrush, spray application and patterns by objects pressed into wet enamel.

All enamels are finished and set by Torch firing and use multiple firing with a torch and tripod.
