In this hands on workshop you will learn techniques to add color, shape and form to your jewelry work as you manipulate copper sheet metal and wire in combination with vibrant and versatile glass enamel.
Learn to layer and express yourself by using techniques in glass enamel to build colorful and intricate surfaces using opaque and transparent clear enamel. Learn additional surface techniques such as sgraffito, a scratching away technique that exposes another color fired underneath. Make marks, text and symbolism using carbon pencils and wet pack enamel. Learn crackling to expose another color underneath.
All enamels are finished and set by Torch firing and use multiple firing with a torch and tripod.

I will bring- Vice, rubber mallet, fordom drill, kiln (I will ship my own) leather gloves, trivets, tripod, torch, steel wire, soldering picks, stone for sanding off excess glass, diamond drill bits, engraving diamond bit, jewelers saw, hammer, shallow water container with rubber insert for drilling under water.
