You will be creating an abstracted 3D floral design on canvas, using techniques that are low-stress and always successful! One of my most-used phrases is, “There is no wrong!” You will be encouraged to create in your own unique style, in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.
Day One – We will do our creating this day, forming the parts of our flowers from clay and while they dry, work on the background of our canvas. I will show you how to create your own texture pastes from items found around the house. I will also show you how to create a paper paste that will allow you to form extremely textural canvases. We will apply these and other objects of your choice to the canvas.
Day Two – Today, we add color and bling! We’ll paint our flower parts and assemble them. If you like a lot of shine, you will be able to add gilding flakes for a metallic glow. There will be other ‘shiny things’ available too. We will add paint to your canvas, creating a uniquely blended effect with water and pigments. When our flowers and canvas are both dry and ready, we will put them together and add any finishing touches, as well as a coat of varnish to seal and protect
