This workshop could be called "metal shop for beginners". Students will spend the day learning all sorts of fun metalworking techniques while making 4 of these "charming" little pendants. Students will learn to drill, cut, polish, patina, grind, and engrave on copper and brass sheet metal. Then a nifty little technique to attach their own favorite charms or found objects with tiny brass hardware and/or copper and brass wire. A fun, easy intro to sheet metal while building some sturdy, non-traditional jewelry pieces that are sure to catch eyes.
