$ 150

Just imagine a day of warm sunshine, bright sandy beaches, sparkling aqua blue waters, colorful tropical fish and birds, and shady palm trees. With our watercolors and travel art journal in hand, we will spend a fun and relaxing day on our imaginary tropical paradise trip painting colorful warm scenes. You will learn fun techniques on how to keep your colors fresh and lively in order to capture scenes in your tropical paradise watercolor art journal. Jacqueline will also teach her watercolor techniques for painting colorful shadows, sparking whites, and rainbow borders. Rainbow borders add a great look to a journal page and are a perfect place to add journaling.

Students Should Bring: Watercolor paints, brushes and palette, The colors I suggest are Winsor Newton or Daniel Smith brand of French Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Permanent Rose, Winsor Red, Hansa Yellow Medium or Lemon Yellow and Quinacridone Gold. Winsor Blue, Permanent Magenta, French Vermillion (Sennelier brand) and Hansa Yellow Deep are also always on my palette. Arches 140 lb watercolor paper (about 6 pieces 7” x 10”) and/or your Arches watercolor journal - (the better the quality the paper is the happier you will be with your final product), a drawing pencil and kneaded eraser, permanent ink pen, water container, washcloth or sponge. Your favorite tropical photos for inspiration.
