Do you swoon over rusty metal and peeling paint? Is Wabi Sabi your favorite look? I have expanded this popular class to a two days. We will learn all the crazy techniques one day and then have the second day to pull all the components together into finished works of art. Learn to recreate textures and patinas that take years to create in a natural environment. We will be sanding, tearing, slopping, spraying, and exploring unusual materials. Working on canvas and paper we will be recreating the look of peeling bill boards, crackled paint and rusty metal. Then on day two, working with collage and composition, we will bring those textures into a cohesive works of art. This class encourages you to let go of that perfection complex and embrace your grungy nature. You will leave class with an abstract work of art and tons of new techniques.

• An inexpensive pad of watercolor paper
• An assortment of collage papers focusing on lighter colors and texture (rice paper, old pattern paper, handmade paper, paper doilies, old letters, etc)
