$ 150

Create a stunning work of art using the Amazing Dremel to etch on glass. Glass is elegant, glass is mysterious, and working on glass is easy as drawing or tracing on paper. Anyone can do it!
In this fun workshop first you will be introduced to the rotary tool (AKA Dremel), you will practice first to get accustomed to the feel, and see to the results from a number of different bits. Once comfortable with the tool you will move on to your 8” x 10” piece of thick heavy weight glass. You can go abstract or be realistic, or anything in between. You can add dimensionality to your image by using working on both sides of the glass. Finished pieces can be framed, or free standing. All you learn can easily be applied to dishes, vases, glazed ceramics, wine bottles, and much morel
This workshop does NOT teach you about the wide range of materials and creative techniques when using a Dremel. That you will learn when taking “The Amazing Dremel“ workshop. In the glass workshop will learn specifically what you need to know to do your beautiful glass piece. No experience necessary. This is a good project class to compliment “The Amazing Dremel” technique class.

$30 Kit fee payable to instructor at beginning of class includes:
practice glass and 1 piece of 8” x 10” x 1/4” glass, a selection of bits that are yours to keep. And some other unusual bits, misc tools, and coloring media that you are free to try out.

Supplies You Need to Bring to Class in addition to materials provided by instructor:

Multiple speed Rotary Tool (Dremel)
Pencils, fine point felt marker, note pad for notes and doodles.
Dust mask, Protective glasses or goggles
Spongy ear plugs if sensitive to noise
Simple designs, art or graphics for 8x10” glass, (vertical or horizontal)

Optional - Most people have found the Dremel flex shaft attachment a great help.
