Hand stitching is an ancient art that continues to evolve.  Spend time hand stitching that does not have to be stressful with lots of rules and perfect stitches. Get started on a fabric stitch book that you will want to add to as you discover new fibers and threads. As our time and lives become so busy we need to learn to slow down a little and create with no pressure.
The first part of the day we will learn a few straight stitches, but more than that we will learn to change the stitch lengths, layer the stitches, and then pull in all kinds of great fibers to add texture and color. The afternoon we will learn several more stitches and start putting it all together. It is amazing what you can do with just a few simple stitches on a piece of fabric. You will begin to see that a few stitches here and there may be just the thing needed to finish a piece, to take a good piece and make it great!
What could be more fun than just coming in, sitting down and stitching with other artists without having to gather all the supplies and prepare anything?

$25  kit payable to instructor at beginning of class will include:
prepared fabric to get started on your stitch book, needles, threads and fibers

All you need to bring is a thimble, glasses if you need them and yourself.
