Kintsugi is a Japanese method of repairing broken pottery, to put the pieces back together with adhesive and gold powder. Imitation gold leaf can also be used. Instead of throwing away a precious item, this process honours the broken piece and becomes part of it’s history. It can also be seen as a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections.
