This class is a beginners journal making class. We will make a simple soft cover , 3 hole pamphlet stitch journal, and then decorate it into a beautiful gorgeous chunky journal, that is as functional as it is pretty, ( we will use ephemera, lace , trim , ribbon, specialty and pretty papers.
This is not a junk journal, but a keepsake journal with lots of blank pages for writing.
Make it a gratitude journal or a book for events, notes or poetry, it's totally up to you.
Once you see how easy it is to make a journal, you'll want to make more then one in this class.......How about a theme journal, to hold whatever you can think of, or a mini book for your purse.
As time permits, I will encourage you to experiment with different
themes and sizes , so that you leave at the end of the day with an assortment of lovely handmade journals.
After we have made our first journal with step by step instructions, and all supplies included in the class fee, I will have additional / optional ( low cost ) themed kits available for purchase.
So..... make one or make a few, it's up to you, everyone works at thier own pace in this class.

cardstock for journal cover

awl to punch holes
wax linen thread and needle for binding
glue stick and glue
scoring tool

Bring to class pretty lace, ribbon, and additional ephemera that you might want to include in your jour
