Poetry and ravens, a classic combination. Join me as we explore easy ways to create layered and textured ravens. They will explode with color and intensity. Then we'll add meaningful words, phrases, and poetry in all layers of our work, from foundation to top details.
Your art journal
9x12 Watercolor or mixed media paper pad, student grade is fine (I like Cason XL). We need lots of paper to play on!
Acrylic gesso
Acrylic paints
Marking tools like Scribble Sticks, Stabilo All pencils, Scribble Sticks, Neocolor II, etc.
Spray bottle with water
Paint brushes
Wipes/paper towels/water container to wash brushes
Gel medium
Your favorite stencils.
OPTIONAL One or two small canvases or wood panels, if you want to create on a substrate other than paper. Or, you can skip the canvases/panels and just work on paper. Up to you.
Plain collage paper tissue or deli paper
Instructor will provide:
handout
stencils for sharing
collage fodder for sharing
