Tired of storebought chains holding your amazing works of art? Or sometimes you just need a simple but stunning standalone chain?
Well gang, lets get together and learn how to make some great chains that will set your work apart.
You will learn how to make, solder (not sure about the soldering? Register for my soldering class!) and form the links and bring it all together. Did you know all chains are not made from traditional links?
In this class you will be learning and making a sample board of different types of chains to refer back to for future use. We will be working with different gages of wire to show the difference in the end product.
You will go home bursting with ideas to add to your jewelry book!
Materials Fee $60 paid at beginning of class includes:
several feet of different gages of wire. I will purchase according to the market value of silver to get you the most quantity I can for this class. Sample board to keep your chain samples. Butane and solder for class and use of tools and equipment needed to complete the project.
Supplies Needed to bring for Class:
Basic jewelry pliers (smooth jaw flat nose, chain nose, round nose and flush cutters. Jewelry files cut #2 or equivalent. Small butane torch (butane is provided in class). Some work is fine so visual aids may help
