Time to put on your Collage Hat and get STICKY!! The Paper Landscape is my fancy name for an abstract landscape collage made from papers, many of which are created by you, the artist. We will make a variety of textured papers to use in our landscape paintings. These could be Tyvek, marbled paper, multi-layer monoprints, textured paper, embossed foils, and more.
Golden Fluid Acrylic Paints - My 5 "must have" colors are:
Gel medium, soft or regular, gloss
Substrates: cradled wood panels preferred, but stretched canvas or canvas boards are OK. Home Depot has 1/4 inch MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) available in 2x4 foot sheets that they will cut for you at no charge.
Short handled nylon brushes suitable for acrylic and w/c. I use a ¾ inch flat, a #6 round, and a small detail brush.
The usual stuff - 32 oz. water container, palette knives, paper towels, scissors, palette, brayer, squeegee from the $ store, spray water bottle, hair dryer (optional), spray alcohol bottle (optional), textured foil lids found on Dannon Light and Fit yogurt (optional).
IMPORTANT: Please double check the supply list to make sure you have all the items on the list.
For your convenience, you may pre-order your materials for classes! Your materials will be waiting for you at the retreat. And you can always purchase additional materials at the retreat.
