Last year I fell and broke my hip. During my long, lonely recovery I set up my art table and began to create my own friends. As a result a new style developed. My composite characters all have an original point of view. They are apparently relatable as they sold faster that I could make them.
In this fun class we will take photocopies, old collage parts, pens, paint and mediums to create fun little people who have their own unique story.
Kit fee of $65 to instructor includes:
Boards, Images, Collage materials, use of: paint, mediums, gels, varnishes, brushes, palette knives, chalk paint, markers, scissors, use of stencils
Bring to class:

Several black and white photocopies of people (at least 8) be sure the images have good contrasts
several small 6” x 8” or 8” x 10” canvases or canvas boards, (around 8)
collage materials - old papers, vintage papers, wall paper, old letters, etc.
stencils for textures
credit card or color shaper to burnish images to canvas
brushes, palette knife, water bucket, paper towels, palette, scissors
Marker, alcohol ink in skin tone colors
Polymer Varnish with UVLS protection (GOLDEN)
Posca or paint pens
acrylic paints - include Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna and white)
chalk paints - one or two colors for backgrounds
