NOTE: Sewing machine experience required. If you are traveling, we will have 5 machines available to share. Please contact email@example.com if you live locally, and can bring your machine so we can reserve the five for others!
Feathers, feathers, feathers! These fabric feathers are fun to make and fun to use. They are great for ‘Feathering Your Vest’; or feathering a purse, a mixed media assemblage or simply string them on a cord and wear as a necklace – you could even make a pair to make matching feather earrings. The feathers are a great way to up-cycle old denim jeans but are equally wonderful made from other fabrics – upholstery, canvas, linen… Brocades are particularly intriguing as they look nothing like you would expect from the original fabric. Once you learn the process, you can experiment with a variety of fabrics. Skill Level: Beginner and up
