Come learn a wide variety of techniques for decorating an old book. The eclectic mix includes a brightly colored series of cut out pages with a peek-a-boo hole, a steampunk layout, a soft nature page and vintage montage in a niche at the end of your story. We will use handmade papers on the front cover. Included in the class fee: an old book with a pre-cut niche, written instructions, napkins, die cuts and tools to use during class (craft knife, cutting mat, scissors, palette knife, craft mat, waterbins, black stabilo pencil, pencil sharpener, garbage, rulers ink pads, ink dabbers, pokey tool, heat gun, brayers, paint brushes). Students are encouraged to work at their own speed even with this ambitious project.

Supplies Needed to bring for Class:
baby wipes, pencil or pen for notes, white gesso, strong double-sided adhesive like scor-tape, glue stick, white and black journaling pen that writes over paint (recommended white Uniball Signo pen, black glaze Gelly Roll pen or Posca paint pens)
