To get to the ‘point’ of this class, let’s make pins! As a fashion accessory pins or brooches are making a comeback. They are beautiful on jackets, scarves, sweaters and dresses. They offer a great alternative to having a necklace that may swing and get caught on things.
In this class we will explore different ways to make brooches, small and delicate to statement pieces for sweaters and jackets. We will first make the piece with interesting surface treatments then make the appropriate pin attachment for that piece.
Skill level: advanced beginner familiar with soldering, forming and basic metal working.

Materials Fee $65 paid at beginning of class includes:

Sterling silver sheet, copper sheet, tubing, appropriate wires for pins. I will provide for use in class; torch and fuel, solder, pickle and all equipment necessary for cleaning and polishing finished rings. Written instructions
