Stamped Solder Wrap Bracelet

$ 180

In this workshop you will learn how to stamp molten solder onto metal shapes. These shapes will be the focal pieces to the wrap linked bracelet. You will form your links into ovals or circles and texturize them with a hammer so that they take on an organic look. Once your bracelet is assembled, we will use Novacan black to give it that patina that makes the stamped areas “pop” in your bracelet.

Materials Fee $15 paid at beginning of class includes:

Metal and brass wire for links. Also includes the patina and polishing pads needed for antiquing the metals

Supplies Needed  to bring for Class:

Cookie sheet for your solder station, Soldering iron (WELLER 100 watt), soldering iron stand, spool of lead-free solder (I buy the one from Hobby Lobby with the purple label - 675D), flux for soldering, salamoniac block, metal bench block and pad, ball peen hammer, metal shears to cut metal, rubber mallet, jewelry pliers set, wire cutters, rag or towel, apron
