Making your mark on the world & leaving your footprints behind for the next generations – that is the definition of legacy. What is this mark? It is your unique way of putting your pencil to paper – much like your signature. It does not need to be pretty or perfect, but it needs to be authentic. In this class we will explore authentic and unique ways to make your mark - through handwriting, line-work, & masks.
Students will begin by writing or collaging words - create a painting & then develop layers of fun with stencils. This process transforms traditional painting into WOW!
Mixing experimental, free-form calligraphic techniques and abstract line-work with traditional painting – what could be more fun?! So be ready to start your Creative Engines - on your mark, get set…have FUN!!!
  

Kit fee $30 paid to instructor at beginning of class includes:

GOLDEN Paints, 12x12 Ampersand AquaBord Panels, Gesso, & Matte Medium, Brushes, StencilGirl Stencils, Textural Ephemra, Reference Photos, Handouts, & more!

Supplies Needed to bring to class:

water container & paper towels

Optional Supplies to bring: Any favorite mark-making tools – ie, pens, pencils, etc…, a favorite quote to transcribe into the background
