We will be creating a self-standing art piece by embedding organic elements between two layers of translucent paper ‘skins’. The result is a misty and mysterious collection of sealed treasures.
Our substrate will be an accordioned art book of sturdy watercolor paper. A myriad of papers will form windows of embedded natural elements, utilizing positive and negative space through translucency.
We will be inscribing our marks by burning holes through some the papers near the end. Bamboo sticks will weave through hasp openings for a stand-alone art piece.
