Be inspired! Through the use of poems, writing prompts, collage, image transfer, paint, sewing and more, Heather will guide you in building unique and personal journal pages that will include covering and decorating our journal covers.

This is a restful and enjoyable workshop where you will learn a variety of techniques and also practice how to explore courageously and without judgement.

This will help re-invigorate your creativity if you are in need new inspiration and motivation.

This is for both seasoned and novice art journalers. 

Materials Fee $5 paid at beginning of class includes:

- Collage materials, including poem handouts
- Various ephemera for decorating book cover
- Supplemental and special GOLDEN acrylic paints
- Needles and thread

Supplies Needed  to bring for Class:

- Mixed Media Art Journal of your choice (eg. Strathmore or Canson).
- Pen and markers of your choice - non water-soluable such as a fine point sharpie
- Acrylic paint - black and white plus a few colors of your choice
- At least two photocopies of someone or something important in your life, past or present (a family member, friend, pet, or special place).
- At least one brush
- 8 oz Matte Medium (GOLDEN recommended)
- Small (8 oz or less) white gesso
- Glue stick (acid free)
- Scissors
- Container for water
- Paper towels
- Palette paper or dish
- Palette knife
