Frida Kahlo ! One of the most iconic and recognized female artists of the 20th century. Her self-portrait paintings are striking as she was a woman with such distinct features. In this class we will create a mixed-media collage showcasing an artful image of Frida Kahlo. I will provide a variety of images of Frida for you to choose from. You will be guided step by step in creating a colorful background of collage and paint to set the stage for your Frida image. We will use a variety of mixed-medias to add flourishes and creative touches to make your artwork of Frida compelling and engaging. Students will also learn about the life and work of Frida Kahlo as we create together. This class is suitable for the beginner as well as the seasoned art maker.
