This is a fun garland that can be hung from your fireplace mantle or on a wall in a special place in your home. You will be designing the inside of your soldered circles with either a holiday inspired theme or a religious theme. Once you have designed the inside, the glass and wood background circle will be copper taped together and then soldered closed.
You can choose to patina the soldered pieces or leave them a silver color. Once the patina and polishing are done, you will string the soldered pieces together with the wood beads to make a garland. Materials Fee $40 cash paid at beginning of class includes: Wood circle (3), circle convex glass (3), wood beads for garland, figurines for your themed project (snowman or santa and bottle brush trees/madonna meerschaum and sacred hearts), copper tape, crystal, mica for snow, glass glitter, papers, paint, antique wax, patina, beading string.
