A modern approach to an ancient textile art! Using several different folds, each student receives a collection of high quality, specially designed acrylic itajime templates that are used to resist the dye. Nine (9) 22" x 22 bold and graphic posie patterns will emerge from the dye, each inspiring you to embellish, paint, stitch and quilt.  The infinite possibilities for design will meke this one of your favorite fabric techniques!

Three yards high quality "pfd" cotton fabric
Collection of Acrylic Itajime Templates
Procion Dye
All mixing cups and spoons
Fixatives & Detergents
Gloves & Dust Mask
Reusable squeeze bottles and funnel 

Supplies Needed  to bring for Class:

Thirty 4" and 6" plastic spring clamps, craft scissors,
dye clothes, Permanent Marker, 2 lawn & leaf garbage bags.
Plastic Bin with lid - apx. 24" x 16" x 6" (to cart your wet fabric)
Find inexpensive mesh bags full of clamps at most big box
hardware stores.
