In this class students will practice mark making with acrylic inks on a full size sheet of watercolor paper. There will also be an introduction to some gesso techniques combined with some colored inks. This will then be folded and bound into a 16 page book form. Areas may then be enhanced with collage papers and other media. Students will be encouraged to write quotes in their journals with pen or a fine point permanent marker. Asemic (abstract) writing will be presented as a way to make the book more personal. Hole punching, page tearing and collaging all make this interesting book form into a work of art.
