The traditional way to set most stones in silversmithing is a bezel setting. This class will give you a great foundation for that classic. But because not all stones play by the ‘rules’ it is a good idea to have options! Bring some standard stones and some not-so-standard stones and let’s work out the great options that will set your work apart.

Materials Fee $45 paid at beginning of class includes:

silver sheet and assorted wire for settings for 2 stones. Use of assorted machinery and consumables to help in the finishing of the piece. Butane for your torch and saw blades.

Supplies Needed  to bring for Class:

basic jewelry tools, (flat nose and chain nose pliers, flush cutters) jewelers saw frame, butane torch, jewelers’ files with medium and fine cut (please no Harbor Freight specials) preferably not needle files. Stones to set (half inch to 1 ½”).
