In this watercolor workshop, we will recreate old-world charm by painting quaint Italian and French windows and doorways. These are so pretty to paint, especially when adorned with flowers pots that overflow with bright, colorful flowers. We will use a variety of watercolor techniques to achieve rich darks, cool colorful shadows, sparkling sunlight, and interesting textured stone walls. We will play with mixed media, granulating pigments, water-soluble pens, and pen and ink techniques to embellish our paintings. Windows and doors give us the perfect setting for trying and learning new watercolor techniques. All levels welcome.

Materials fee $12 paid directly to instructor at beginning of class includes:

artist tape, gouache, paint markers, glaze pens, letter stencils, liquid latex, water-soluble pens, acrylic paints, gold pens, extra watercolor paint, Masa paper, salt
