A form of nature printing, Japanese fishermen in the mid-1800’s kept ink and rice paper on their boats to make prints of the fish they caught. This was how they recorded different fish species and their sizes for bragging rights. In this class, we’re going to make several Gyotaku prints and enhance them with watercolor, inks, and acrylics. These prints are beautiful even without the enhancements and make wonderful gifts. No fish will be injured in this class! Feel free to email with questions. Susan.Rossiter@yahoo.com

Fee $20paid to instructor at beginning of class includes:

Handout, Beautiful handmade paper pack and collage papers for embellishment, folder to take your prints home, use of inks, dotting tools, watercolors and Golden transparent acrylics, iridescent and metallic; use of my realistic molded fish and sea creatures.
