Capture landscapes and architecture using maps and magazine pages to create striking, realistic or imaginary art scenes with or without buildings. Discover how to use recycled paper as if it is paint to create a unique work of art. Landscapes, houses, barns, grain elevators, bridges, cityscapes…no limit. You will be guided through the technical challenge of making realistic renderings from recycled materials, and produce one or two frame- ready works of art. No drawing skills needed.
Supplies Needed to bring for Class:
Inspirational landscape photos or pages from a travel brochure or calendar. For fun, bring an 8 ½ x 11 photocopy of a photo of a house or place with meaning to you
Scissors that you like
Optional: a cutting mat and Exacto knife if you have it.
Old magazines and maps to cut up; paper that you like including maps, sheet music, Gelli papers, scrapbook papers, junk mail
