Doodling with Watercolor

Portland Spring 2026 is NOW OPEN

Andrea Chebeleu
6:30 - 9:30
Wed Eve March 18
$100.00

Let loose and let it flow—this joyful evening session invites you to explore watercolor in its most playful and intuitive form. No rules, no pressure, and definitely no need to “draw something real.” This is abstract mark making at its most meditative.

We’ll begin by creating layered watercolor backgrounds using vibrant pigments, loose washes, and spontaneous marks. You'll experiment with wet-into-wet techniques, resist effects, and gestural doodles that let the watercolor speak for itself. Think of it as doodling meets daydreaming, where the process is the product.

Once your pages are dry, we’ll fold, snip, and glue them into charming mini books—each one a little world of color and expression. These handmade books are perfect homes for your hand lettering, sketching, poetry, collaging, or future doodles.

This workshop is perfect for all levels, especially those who want to loosen up and fall back in love with the beauty of watercolor. You’ll leave with a uniquely yours mini art book and a new appreciation for intuitive play with paint.
