Explore human proportions by using wire armatures that we will pose and attach to a wooden block, before building the muscle mass using foil, tape, and air dry clay. We will have time to add some details to the figures with a longer working time that will allow you to continue to add details even once you are home. We will use a specific method of human proportion to keep our figures in scale, using the easiest method I have found for beginning any type of 3-D figure study. You will gain confidence to sculpt a human form in almost any pose you can imagine, while keeping in scale and proportion. Sculptures can be sealed or painted once the clay is completely dry. Beginner friendly. All skill levels welcome.
Materials Fee $25 paid at beginning of class includes:
Armature wire, air dry clay, wooden block, foil, tape, sharpie markers, sculpting tools, pliers, and wire cutters.
