Fabric collage is an excellent method of composing stylized birds. There are so many astounding fabric prints that can be fussy cut to create wonderfully realistic birds. In this class, you will choose and fussy-cut botanical and floral prints, arabesques, and textures, to create a sweet little songbird perched on a branch. You will be fusing the collage with a permanent fabric adhesive, so a sewing machine will not be necessary to create your collage bird. After completion, you can frame your bird as art if you wish, or include it in an art journal. Kits of fabrics to choose from will be available, allowing you to fine-tune the colors and textures you want in your bird. Skill level: Confident beginner and up.
