In the world of creating fabric landscapes, creating lifelike waterfalls is both challenging and rewarding. Effective fabrics on their own are not enough and can leave the water looking inert and frozen. Embellishing a collaged waterfall with a variety of decorative yarns and threads creates a sense of movement. Come explore living water with me in this class, where you will collage a simple fabric waterfall scene and then bring the water to life with free-motion stitching, yarns, and threads. You will create a small scenic panel that can be finished with quilting if you desire, or framed if you prefer. Skill level: Confident beginners and up. Note: A sewing machine will be needed for the free-motion stitching though the embellishment can be carried out by hand if desired.
Please be courteous to others by arriving for class with the correct supplies. Contact me at 503-888-9784 or helene.m.knott@gmail.com if you have any questions.
