Is it stained glass? Mosaic? Collage? Assemblage? Who cares? Why not put them all together?
We’ll start with a simple frame and a colorful pile of premade fused and stained glass, everyday objects, ceramic bits, paper and assorted treasures. students will learn glass and ceramic cutting, layering, using special adhesives, stacking and rearranging until something completely unexpected begins to happen. Instead of traditional grout, we’ll finish everything with a magical compound for texture and a little extra grit.
No soldering. No complicated techniques. No pattern to follow. No right and no wrong.
This is an easygoing evening class about playing with materials, meeting some new creative people and discovering what happens when you stop worrying about what kind of art you’re supposed to be making.
And after spending the evening thinking completely outside the box…We’ll glue it all in a in a framed box….. Just like the “Normies”…
Bring a few small trinkets, photos, broken jewelry items, etc. to make this truest a personalized heirloom! Don’t forget a 10x12” min. box to carry your items home!
