Weaving is a fabulously satisfying art form, with an endless variety of stitches, techniques and materials that can be incorporated into your piece. You’ll learn the basics of weaving, and then go way beyond, to bring out texture, shape and adornment using fabric, yarn, trim, and a lovely assortment of mixed media materials.
Weaving is an ancient art form that you'll be doing in a very contemporary way, as you explore methods for creating exciting, unique and gorgeous pieces.
You’ll learn many stitches to bring out various effects, designs and layers. You’ll also make added elements such as fringe, tassels and other decorative parts to enhance your weaving on a simple frame loom. No prior art or weaving experience is necessary.

All materials and tools will be provided, and you're invited and encouraged to bring materials from your own stash, which can include fabric scraps, used clothing, yarn, beads, small found objects, driftwood, etc.
